Foreword

China Theory Week 2009 will be held during September 20-25, 2009, at the Institute for Theoretical Computer Science (ITCS) in Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. This workshop is intended to provide an international forum and opportunity for graduate students in theoretical computer science to meet and exchange research ideas. The presentations in the workshop also serve as a useful indicator on where the exciting directions for the field might be currently and down the road.

In the last two years, China Theory Week brought together scores of outstanding graduates as well as some distinguished scientists to share ideas in the field of theoretical computer science. Based on the great success of China Theory Week 2007 and China Theory Week 2008, in this year we will continue to invite talented graduate students in theoretical computer science from all over the world to present their latest research findings. All the presentations will take place at the FIT Building, Tsinghua University, and a day tour for all our guests would also be scheduled in CTW 2009.

This is the third year that we organize a workshop of this unique nature. Currently the participating invitation to CTW 2009 is ongoing. We thank all the participants for accepting our invitation, and wish them all a most fruitful and enjoyable experience in our Institute ITCS, and in Beijing as well!
